because germany got screwed in that deal, and basically got whipped down and werent allowed to do anything, and went into major debt, so it was a terrible place to live and the people were in a desperate situation so they turned to extreme means and elected hitler to be their leader, and you know what happens from their. so basically ww1 caused ww2
